Remember where you were?

I was on my way in to work, a principal at Thomas J. Pappas when the first plane hit, and on morning duty when the second one hit.

We locked our school down and waited. Since we were downtown, police and law enforcement came to our campus. Our district officials had no clue what to do, and frankly neither did we.

So today, I remember. I find myself, 7 years later, going to work at the same place, with most of the same people.

Prayers.

You are working at Thomas J. Pappas ? I didn't know that. I remember that day so distinctly.

Mom says you may come for Thanksgiving? I would love that.

I remember. I was living with my Mom and Dad in North Salt Lake with Rebecca and her Dad. He was unemployed at the time, trying to get a judgement collection business going. My brother called and said "turn on the TV, this is big. Really big." We watched, speechless. I went to work at the Salt Lake City School District Office - HR Department. We watched the towers crumble on my boss's TV. I was horrified. I remember hearing Bush's speech later, and thinking "he is a man of God." I want to know what happened to him...
